We could not have picked a better place to stay to celebrate a 30th birthday with friends. We started the trip with a murder mystery party which was perfectly set by the reading room near the kitchen. We went on walks to the beach in the mornings which was so serene and beautiful. On our last evening we watched the most beautiful sunset back at the house and enjoyed a night of movies and playing pool. It was truly an awesome stay, hopefully we can come back someday!

I have to say that I have been booking homes for over twenty years for family get togethers. The family would like to go there again. Don’t be afraid of the staircase, there is other ways to carry your luggage in. They have one of the best kitchens. Plenty of dishes and silverware. Beautiful view from the kitchen. Wonderful bedrooms with book themes . The grandchildren loved the Harry Potter room with its own reading nook. The bedrooms are comfortable and good size. We all enjoyed the foosball and pool table.The hot tub is great and what a view, both day and well lit at night. The fire-pit and sitting area was a great place to gather. When you sit at the dining table the view of the waterfall is very nice. The whole home inside and out shows great attention to details. You have to smile with the jukebox refrigerator and the telephone booth door.Plenty of parking. Great location to town or a beach for shelling. Hostess was a great help.

Our family had an absolutely wonderful stay at this incredible property! An easy 5 minute drive to Downtown Coupeville. The cleanliness and comfort were top-tier, making it feel like a true home away from home. What makes this place truly special is the attention to detail—each bedroom has its own unique, beautiful theme, and the gorgeous antiques throughout add so much character. We loved playing pool, relaxing in the jacuzzi, and taking in the stunning views. Plus, a private beach is only about a 10-minute walk away, which was a huge bonus! The host is fantastic and puts so much love into this space. I highly recommend staying here!

Spend the afternoon playing on the beach, soak in the hot tub while taking in the views, gather around the fire pit as the sun sets, or just unwind and enjoy the spectacular water and mountain scenery.

Our stay at the Rain Shadow Retreat was fantastic! We stayed just for one night with friends but felt at home right away. Our 3 year old son loved the under the stairs secret room right away and escaped there frequently. The main floor living space had plenty of room and the kitchen is nicely updated. Views of Penn Cove made the place feel really special. In the evening we relaxed in the hot tub after the kid's bedtime. The house is also very close to Coupeville with great restaurants and shops. We definitely want to come back for a longer stay!

My husband and I decided that we needed a getaway so we decided on a spectacular weekend in Coupeville. The property is located minutes from the beach where we took walks and enjoyed the sunset. This destination is intended for anyone needing to get away from the city. We loved exploring the restaurants and shops of downtown Coupeville. We loved spending quality time with each other whether around the fireplace or in the hot tub. We cannot wait until our next visit
